RIVETER CHAPTER BOARD MEMBERS
Meet your chapter board members...
Karan Andrea: President
Karan lives in Western New York and started riding motorcycles in 2011 at age 45. Once she got her first Harley – a 2001 Dyna Lowrider – she began to truly love riding. She began to travel on her motorcycle, and two wheels became her favorite means of travel. A few years later, she bought her first vintage bike – a 1974 Harley-Davidson FLH – and began traveling on it instead of her modern bike. She has put over 12,000 miles on that bike – all long-distance miles. In 2021, she decided her next trip would be to ride the entirety of Route 66 – 2,450 miles. Instead of going solo as she had always done, she founded the Riveter Chapter, and with a small group of members, planned and executed the Chix on 66 ride in 2022.
Sharon Chasles: Board Member at Large
Sharon started riding in 1998. After buying, riding and selling many modern bikes, she discovered a love of old motorcycles. In 2021 Sharon was support crew for her husband on the Motorcycle Cannonball. She currently splits her riding time between her now vintage Heritage Softail and her 1965 FLH Panhead “Drippy”. Sharon completed the inaugural Chix Ride, Chix on 66 in 2022 on Drippy. Sharon was a past ABATE Director and is now the current Vice President of the Riveters and has been a part of the Planning Committee for the Chix at the Crossroads event in 2024, organizing the hotels as well as other planning duties.
Kathy Strobele: Treasurer
Kathy has been an avid rider since 2018 and has put on over 35,000 miles in those few short summers. She currently works as a senior accountant at a publicly traded company. She rides a modern, Harley Davidson Heritage but is currently looking for a vintage bike. She has an interest in old bikes and is trying to learn more about their history and how to work on them. Along with planning the inaugural Chix on 66 ride in 2022, she also went on the ride. She is currently helping plan the 2024 Chix at the Crossroads ride and she has been treasurer since the Riveter Chapter inception.
Kellie Rendleman: Board Member at Large
Kellie lives in Franklin, TN, and started out riding a scooter as a fun way to pop around town. After getting hooked on riding, she decided she needed a more suitable two-wheeled vehicle, so in 2020, she purchased her vision of the ideal bike - a 1974 Honda CB360.
After experiencing the woes of getting a vintage bike up and running again, she decided that she needed more knowledge on the subject and enrolled in a motorcycle technician class. She graduated with high honors in 2023.
Preferring wrenching to riding, she currently manages her herd of Hondas (and one Harley), and works in a small motorcycle repair shop where she services the top four Japanese brands, all kinds of Harleys and even V8 Boss Hosses. Hondas continue to be her favorite.
Joann Mikulec: Membership Director (joann@riveterchapter.com)
Joann has been an avid rider since 2008. She works at a local Harley-Davidson dealership near Niagara Falls, NY as Administrative Assistant. Her current bikes are modern to a degree (2008 and 2020), however, she has developed an appreciation for the older bikes and the individuals who strive to maintain the culture. She has been membership director since the Riveter Chapter inception and also contributed in the planning of the Chix on 66 event.
Marjorie Kleiman: Secretary
(secretary@riveterchapter.com)
Marjorie Kleiman is a veteran moto-journalist, having worked with a number of major motorcycle magazines over the past several decades. She is a member of the AMCA, with active participation in the Colonial (NJ) and Riveter chapters. Marjorie is on staff with the Motorcycle Cannonball and Cross Country Chase. Her oldest motorcycle is a 1982 FXRS Shovelhead, and her newest, a 2023 Heritage Softail Classic.
Marjorie is a board member of the Riveter Chapter, and as a member of the planning committee, she has headed up the public relations, sponsorship, marketing, and social/print media efforts for the Chix on 66 and Chix at the Crossroads rides.
Dana Lasher: Board Member at Large
Riveter Route Mistress
I’ve been restoring antique cars and motorcycles for years. My last project, a 1929 Indian Scout 101, is what I rode in both the 2021 and 2023 Motorcycle Cannonball. I’m currently starting a new project, an Indian four, for the 2025 Cannonball. I’ve just finished traveling to the South planning the route for the Vintage Chix Riders, Chix at the Crossroads 2024. When I'm not on the road or in my workshop, you'll often find me scouring swap meets. I live in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Leslie Chapman: Board Member at Large
Current Member of the 2025 Riveter Rumble: Wildcat Action Road Run Committee
Leslie has been a Harley fan for decades and has been riding solo since 2008 when she purchased her Harley Davidson Sportster 1200C. While still loving the torquey fun and quick turns, she finally made the switch to the comfort of a 2018 Softail Deluxe. In the meantime, she became interested in vintage Harleys and has been collecting since she retired at the end of 2022. She now has a 1958 Ironhead Sportster; a 1958 Panhead Duo Glide, and a 1968 Shovelhead Electra Glide. She is currently hoping to qualify to ride the Cross Country Chase in July, 2025.
